Grassi Leipzig Ethnography Museum: Vogelspuren – From Albatros to Zeisig.

Until August 25th 2013 the Grassi Leipzig Ethnography Museum is presenting a special exhibition devoted to the avian world, and for all the cultural and ethnological importance of birds.

Organised on cooperation with Leipzig Natural History Museum Vogelspuren – From Albatros to Zeisig presents some 70 stuffed birds from the Natural History Museum’s collection presented in the context of the birds native cultures: a presentation that is supported by a “Bird Tour” through the Ethnography Museum’s permanent collection and highlighting some 100 points at which birds play an important role in cultural heritage and tradition.

Vogelspuren – From Albatros to Zeisig can be viewed at the Grassi Leipzig Ethnography Museum until Sunday August 25th 2013.
