Mendelssohn-Haus Leipzig: Ich hab mir eins erwählet – Caroline Brandt remembers her husband Carl Maria von Weber

On Sunday July 8th the Mendelssohn-Haus Leipzig hosts a lunchtime concert in the company, more or less, of Carl Maria von Weber’s wife Caroline Brandt.

In the course of a monologue interspersed with musical interludes featuring Carl Maria von Weber’s “Piano Works for Four Hands”, Caroline Brandt recalls her twelve years with Weber with anecdotes and tales from their time in Prague and Dresden.

We’re not sure if their pet monkey “Schnuff Weber” features. But we hope so.
