On Friday February 3rd the Grassi Leipzig Ethnography Museum is hosting a visual and aural treat for all interested in and/or wanting to learn more about the culture and identity of modern Haiti.
In the first part of the evening Dr. Elisabeth Thiele leads a guide tour through the current exhibition “The divine colours of Hell. New painting from Haiti – Préféte Duffaut & Frantz Zéphirin”
Subsequently the Leipziger Gitarrenquartett will complement the art works with a selection of afro-caribbean melodies specifically chosen to highlight the links between European and carribean culture.
