Josef Albers Window. Recreation complete.

Some seven months after the installation of the recreated Josef Albers Window began; the window can now be viewed in its full glory.

Recreated according Josef Albers’ original plans by the Paderborn glass specialists Peters, the window not only illuminates the main staircase in the Grassi Museum complex – but also illuminates an important part of the story of contemporary European glass design.

Not just in terms of appearance, but also techniques and function.

The Josef Albers Window can be viewed during normal opening hours.
