Grassi Leipzig Ethnography Museum: Pro Community 2011 – Western APY Lands

Following last years exhibition of works from members of the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation art centre, the Freiberg Gallery ARTKELCH return to the Grassi Leipzig Ethnography Museum this year with an exhibition of contemporary aboriginal art from three boutique art centres in the Western APY Lands – an aboriginal administered area of South Australia.

Featuring the works of over a  dozen artists “Pro Community 2011 – Western APY Lands” promises to offer a wonderful insight into modern Aboriginal art in all is facets.
Following stops in Stuttgart, Freiburg and Cologne, Leipzig is the last stage of the tour – and so your final chance to see the complete exhibition.

Pro Community 2011 – Western APY Lands opens on Thursday September 15th at 6pm with a short introduction art in the APY region by gallery owner Robyn Kelch.

Pro Community 2011 – Western APY Lands runs from 16.9.- 30.10.2011. entry cost Euro 2, children up to 16 free.
