From July 1st until July 10th the Grassi Museum Leipzig is hosting the Hochschule für Musik und Theater production of “The Three Musketeers”.
Adapted from Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel by Axel Plogstedt and directed by Gösta Knothe, “The Three Musketeers” is a wonderfully free-flowing production that allows the college’s second year students the opportunity to display the full range of their talents and which treats the audience to an evening of dance, comedy and drama. One or the other sword fight is also included.
Not only does the Grassi Museum Innenhof provide a wonderful background for the production; it also offers a lot more space for the performers than a conventional theatre. Something the students use wonderfully to their, and we have to say the audience’s, advantage.
Who needs 3D TV when sword fights are occurring all around you!
